Victreebel is also accessible early in the game, as you only need to catch a Bellsprout and it’s abundant in most grassy areas. Thanks to its really high Attack and Special Attack stat, Victreebel is also a good offensive Pokémon. Victreebel is part-Poison, so its key defining moves are Poisonpowder, learned at Level 17, or other Poison-type moves such as Toxic and Sludge Bomb. You then need a Leaf Stone for Weepinbell to turn into Victreebel. Train Bellsprout to Level 21 so it evolves into Weepinbell. These plethora of status ailments are great for any battle strategy you might have in wearing opponents down. Stun Spore leaves foes paralyzed for a couple of turns, while Sleep Powder renders enemies to sleep. Vileplume can also have Poisonpowder, Stun Spore and Sleep Powder in its arsenal, as its earlier evolution Oddish can learn these moves at Level 14, 16 and 18.Īs per its name, Poisonpowder inflicts poison on opponents draining their HP. Watch out though as the move locks Vileplume in the offense for three turns, before inflicting confusion on itself. One of its strongest moves is Petal Dance, learned at Level 44. This means its grass moves are capable of dealing a lot of damage, especially to Pokémon weak against Grass-types.
